The WEISS W 11-CNC SL 1000 is a high-precision universal cylindrical grinding machine that is particularly suitable for the production of individual parts and prototypes as well as small batches thanks to its versatility and modern equipment. With a centre width of 1,000 mm and a centre height of 200 mm, it enables the machining of workpieces with a maximum outer diameter of 390 mm.

Special technological features

Adjustable internal grinding spindle
The machine has an adjustable internal grinding spindle, which enables precise adjustment of the grinding parameters to different workpiece geometries and materials. This is particularly advantageous when processing complex internal contours and ensures maximum dimensional accuracy.

Infinitely variable swivelling B-axis on the sanding headstock
The grinding headstock is equipped with a continuously swivelling B-axis, which is driven by a torque motor. This enables flexible positioning of the two external grinding spindles - one straight and one angled - as well as the internal grinding unit installed at the rear. This allows complex grinding tasks to be carried out in a single clamping operation.

C-axis on the workhead

Coolant system with paper belt filter

Manual balancing system

Structure-borne noise sensor (GAP / Crash Control)

Gate detection for the internal grinding spindle
