The Index R200 multitasking turning/milling centre is a state-of-the-art production machine from the German company Index, which was developed for the efficient machining of complex components. Particularly noteworthy is the parallel machining with one milling spindle on the main spindle and one on the counter spindle. This configuration makes it possible for two machining processes to take place simultaneously, which significantly shortens production times and increases productivity.

The tool magazine of the R 200 is equipped with 80 stations. This enables a large number of tools for different machining processes, which significantly increases the machine's flexibility. A particularly innovative feature is the dual double gripper tool changer with shuttle, which allows both milling spindles to be loaded with tools independently of each other. There are also additional tool positions for stationary turning tools with a VDI 25 interface directly on the housing of the milling spindle

Equipped with a high-pressure pump and paper belt filter, the coolant system ensures optimum cooling of the tool and effective removal of chips. This is particularly important for drilling operations or intensive milling and turning processes. The internal coolant supply directly through the tool achieves precise cooling, which ensures a longer tool life and a better surface quality of the machined parts.
