Site Clearance Sale in Siegenburg: The First Machines Have Already Found Their New Home

Cover Image

After announcing the upcoming site clearance sale in Siegenburg at the beginning of June, a great deal has happened. The first machines have already been sold, dismantled and loaded for transport. Activity on site is now in full swing, and the first empty areas in the production hall clearly show that the project has got off to a successful start.

Heavy Equipment for Heavy-Duty Tasks

The appropriate handling equipment has now arrived on site for the upcoming machine loadings. A 16-ton forklift enables us to safely move the full range of available machines, from a cyclone lathe weighing approximately 3 tonnes to the DMG Mori DMC 1450 V machining centre with a weight of around 10 tonnes.

The wide variety of machine sizes and weights places high demands on logistics. With the right lifting and transport equipment, all loading operations can be carried out efficiently, safely and with maximum care.

Precision Work During the Dismantling of the Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machine

Particular care is required when dismantling the Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machine. Highly accurate measuring systems are extremely sensitive to vibrations and improper handling. For this reason, the dismantling process is carried out in several carefully planned stages.

Before loading, the machine axes must be properly secured, covers removed and sensitive components protected. Special attention is paid to the precision guideways and air bearings. Only professional dismantling and transportation ensure that the machine will regain its full measuring accuracy once it has been reassembled.

Hermle C20U Already Back in Production

One of the first machines sold was a Hermle C20U. Thanks to its outstanding flexibility and performance, the machine attracted strong interest and quickly found a new owner.

The machine is now operating at FTR Rachbauer GmbH in Aspach, Upper Austria (AT-5252), where it is already producing complex 5-axis milled components. Purchasing a high-quality used machine often allows companies to increase production capacity much faster than ordering a new machine with corresponding delivery times.

"Whenever we need additional production capacity at short notice, high-quality used machines from Gläsener + Schmidt are always an attractive solution for us," says Georg Rachbauer, Managing Director of FTR Rachbauer GmbH.

We are delighted that the Hermle C20U has immediately returned to productive operation at FTR Rachbauer and is making an important contribution to the company's manufacturing operations.

What's Next?

The site clearance sale in Siegenburg continues to make excellent progress. The first machines have already reached their new destinations, while additional loading operations are scheduled in the coming days. Once again, the project demonstrates how essential careful planning, precise dismantling and smooth logistics are for a successful site clearance.

And once one project is completed, the next one is already waiting. Our next site clearance project in the Munich area is already in preparation. We will keep you updated!
